Rich Gibson was raised in Livermore California—home of the fastest rodeo in the west. He graduated from BYU with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Rich is currently in graduate school at BYU pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering. He is working on optical fiber E-field sensors in the Optics lab as a graduate student. Rich said his experience in IMMERSE was very beneficial, “Pizza every other week was fun, and so was listening to Dr. Hawkins’s get-rich-off-his-students schemes. More specifically, the program channeled me into the research I am doing now, and has given me a head start in my graduate work." |
