Participation in this competition will satisfy the senior project requirement. Grades for 492 a, b, c will be based on the following:

ECEn 492 a

  • Final exam. The exam will be multiple choice, covering all topics covered in the Tuesday lectures. If attendance at the lectures is sufficiently high, the exam will be waived.
  • Proposal. You will need to write a proposal detailing the design of the robot. Your proposals will be confidential. The proposals should include a budget and a detailed time line. The time line will be used in your evaluation in ECEn 492 b.
  • ECEn 492 b

  • Two confidential design reviews in the 4th and 8th week of the winter semester. Your grade will depend on how well you have satisfied the time line in your proposal.

  • Your robot must be able to successfully defend against a ball rolled from a ramp at three different angles.
