Winner of the 1999 One-On-One Soccer Competition
This year, Drs. Randy Beard and Jim Archibald of BYU's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering started a program where teams of Electrical and Computer Engineering students could design and build autonomous, soccer playing robots for their Senior Project. As an added incentive, $1000 would be awarded to team whose robot wins the final competition. D.A.R.T., which stands for Defensive/Agressive Robotics Technologies, is the answer of our team, composed of David Dougall, Zachary Smith, and Daniel Wheeler, to this challenge. On this web page we'll explain how we went about meeting and succeeding at this challenge. Our hope is that others may be able to learn from our experience and build on what we have done.
