Preprofessional Program
Students who declare Electrical or Computer Engineering as a major are first designated preprofessional. Due to resource limitations, preprofessional students are not allowed to register for Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECEn) courses except ECEn 191, ECEn 124 and ECEn 224. Students must apply for admission to the professional program; applications are available at the college advisement center.

Admission to the professional program requires that you maintain an adequate GPA in the following courses: Math 112, Math 113, Phscs 121, Phscs 220 and at least one of Chem 105, CS 142, ECEn 124, Phscs 281 and Stat 441. Application to the professional program should be made during the semester when the last of these requirements are completed.

Acceptance History for the Professional Program
Admission to the professional program is on a "space available" basis. Historically an average GPA of 2.9 in the preprofessional courses has been sufficient for admission.

Although not a guarantee for future semesters, the following table can help you get an idea of what rates and criteria for acceptance into the professional program have looked like in the past.
