The Brigham Young University Optics Lab is actively researching many aspects of photonics. These include high temperature Fiber Bragg Gratings, D-shaped fiber, core replacement, non-linear optics, fiber poling, multi-axial strain, elliptical core fibers, and MEMs based optical fiber sensors. The BYU optics lab employs undergraduate and graduate researchers. These researchers work with Dr. Richard Selfridge and Dr. Stephen Schultz.
