David G. Long's chapter
on "Reconstruction and Resolution
Enchancement Techniques for Microwave Sensors," appeared in a recently published book
entitled Frontiers of Remote Sensing Information Processing, which presents
leading-edge research in remote sensing.

Dr. Long was invited to prepare a chapter for this book based on his innovative
research in the reconstruction of high-resolution microwave images from
low-resolution satellite measurements. This is an active area of
research for Dr. Long and his students and they have published numerous papers on
the topic. The book chapter describes his method in a tutorial manner
and illustrates the method by applying it to data from the scatterometer on
the European Remote Sensing (ERS) satellite.
