Salt Lake City, Utah 84113

Travel Arrangements
Room Reservations: call 1 888 416 4075. Be sure to say you are with the "IEEE Region 6 Meeting" to obtain the discount room rate of $69.00 + tax.

If you fly: fly to Salt Lake City International Airport and take a shuttle to the University Guest House. I recommend you use Express Shuttle since it will cost about $12 each way (taxis are much more expensive). You can make arrangements with Express Shuttle at the airport when you arrive, or call ahead of time (800 397 0773) to make arrangements. (Calling ahead of time should reduce your wait time at the airport.)

If you drive: Follow I-15 south to I-80 E. Exit at Foothill Blvd. Follow Foothill Blvd to Wasatch Drive and turn Right. Follow Wasatch Drive to the first Light (South Campus Drive/Hempstead Blvd). Turn Right. Follow to Stop sign . This is Fort Douglas Blvd. Turn Left. The Guest House is just past the Chapel on the Left. Download a map of the University Guest House area.

Meals
A continental breakfast is included with room. Lunch will be provided Saturday at 12:00 noon. You are on your own for any other meals.

Notes
For Utah Section Attendees: There is a marathon starting at 7:30~8:00 AM that starts across the street from the University Guest House. As a consequence, most of the roads around the University Guest House will be closed until mid-to-late morning. You can still get to the University Guest House by travelling through the research park and taking the back way to the University Guest House. Be sure to leave early to allow enough time for additional traffic that is normally not present on a Saturday morning.

Opening Session: This session is intended for all attendees. Region 6 Officers will be speaking to provide a "state of the institute."

Area Meeting: This meeting is for the section chairs and other section executive committee members who may be in attendance. The Region 6 director has some important business to conduct that impacts each section.

Student Paper Contest: For the student presenters, held in parallel with the NE Area Meeting and conducted by Randy Jost, the Area Student Activities Chair. Our goal is one paper from each student branch in the NE Area.

Micro-mouse Demonstration: For student attendees, and student activities chairs. This meeting will be conducted by Scott Smith, the Area Micro-mouse Chair.

Travel Expense Reimbursement: Download the Reimbursement Form (it's an excel spread sheet), complete it, print it, and sign it. Mail the signed form and your receipts to
