Ideas For Improving Section/Student Branch Cooperation
Hold some section meetings on campus.
Organize a tour as a section meeting and invite the student members.
Use students as speakers at a section meeting.
Help the student branch get started selling "lab kits" to beginning EE majors.
Offer one or more free lunches to students at a section lunch meeting.
Help the student branches organize activities with other student branches.
Use a Section Picnic as a fund raiser for the student branch.
Get involved in National Engineers Week activities. Buttons, cups, banners, and video presentations can be purchased on the National Engineers Week web site.
Involve Student Branch members in pre-college activities. Remember, these activities also qualify as PACE activities!
An All-Around Excellent Idea
Organize an activity where elemetary school children draw a picture to the theme "what an engineer does."
Use the best pictures to create a calander. (Note: this also would qualify as a PACE activity.)
